James Newbill’s Explainer Video. Hire Him today–

So in another shameless attempt to promote my personal brand and a chance to test out a new tool for presentations, I was eager to try Powtoons. Here is how they describe themselves.

“Created using PowToon — Free sign up at http://www.powtoon.com/youtube/ — Create animated videos and animated presentations for free.  PowToon is a free tool that allows you to develop cool animated clips and animated presentations for your website, office meeting, sales pitch, nonprofit fundraiser, product launch, video resume, or anything else you could use an animated explainer video. PowToon’s animation templates help you create animated presentations and animated explainer videos from scratch.  Anyone can produce awesome animations quickly with PowToon, without the cost or hassle other professional animation services require.”

So check out this cool animated video designed to reach recruiters in a interesting and fun medium! The tool was very easy to use to build the site. The voice over work however was above my pay grade admittedly. Audio quality was an issue until I invested in a Blue Snowball mic (which i love btw). Also, you had to record the audio to sync with the slides. Although Powtoon recommended to start with a script, record the audio, then build the slides – I being of the Ikea generation of instructions promptly ignored them. Wouldn’t you know, after I finished Powtoon launched a feature that now allows you to record audio on each slide!!! Great timing.

That all said, The James Newbill Online Resume is alive and kicking now!

7 seconds and the truth!

How can this help you too? How many times have you gotten a product from the product team that needs more explanation in a quick and digestible way. Instead, you get a pile of features and benefits in an almost technical format and expected to use it in direct or conversion marketing tactics that require quick attention and “calls to actions”! 7 seconds and the truth! Well, using Powtoons maybe be a good gap filler and allow for you to build “how to” videos or Explainers in a quick and still professional way that I know I have paid firms over 5,000 dollars for similar quality.

Anyway, If you want me to do it for you then now problem….when can I start and can I bring my Swingline Red Stapler?
